Hideaki Anno (庵野秀明) is the director of Top o Nerae! Gunbuster. He is most commonly known as the creator of the series Neon Genesis Evangelion. Other works include Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water and the 2004 version of Cutie Honey. He was born on May 22, 1960 in Ube, Japan. He is currently married to Moyoko Anno, who is a published mangaka.
