RX-7

Noriko Takaya's RX-7

The RX-7 Machine Weapon (マシーン兵器 RX-7; Mashīn Heiki RX-7) was the standard combat mecha of Earth's forces in the war against the Space Monsters before the creation of the Sizzler. This model was the first model of mecha used in combat prior to the completion of Gunbuster. It was used by Noriko Takaya and Kazumi Amano as well as Jung Freud, Smith Toren and Linda Yamamoto.

Appearance

The RX-7 is much smaller than Gunbuster and the Sizzlers, standing at 5.6 meters tall. The coloring of RX-7 units varies greatly, with each unit's color scheme indicating its nation of origin.
